That means a party with a druid who wants to use Goodberry to replace the need for rations needs to plan ahead by buying a lot of mistletoe foci, but they do end up saving 15 sp per 10 days (or 15 cp per day) compared to living off half-rations.My interpretation of the 2024 starvation rules indicates that eating half a pound per day should actually allow each unit of rations to last for 4 days as long as you don’t miss a day and end up gaining any exhaustion levels. That combined with Goodberry changing to 2d4 and consuming a sprig of mistletoe would make living off Goodberries more expensive to live off of than rations (5 sp for four days equates to 12.5 cp per day, compared to 1 gp for an average of 5 days, or roughly 2 sp per day). Seems reasonable, since living off rations this way is pure subsistence, whereas each Goodberry is equivalent to full day’s nutrition requirements and also heals you. Plus, the mistletoe sprigs don’t weigh you down like rations do.</blockquote>
