Should I get Spycraft?

I'm running the Agents of PSI campaign from the d20 Modern guide. It's set in 2014 with psionics still being fairly underground and feared by most people but they are nevertheless aware of the reality of psionics. Technology has been pushed forward very slightly. Some nanotech stuff, holographic imaging, a little bit of this and that but mostly the same.

I'm not too familiar with Spycraft, but I get the feeling it's more like Shadowrun. Am I off-base with this assumption? Would it be fitting for a PSI game?

Most folks consider d20 Modern to be more like Shadowrun, with the easy introduction of non-humand races (elves, dwarves, etc.) and a heavier influnce for D&D-style magic.

Naturally, I'm biased :p, but I think is fair to suggest that you might want to take a look at the free Spycraft Lite download at www.spycraftRPG.com to get a quick feel for the core system. The Spycraft and Shadowforce Archer lines introduce a LOT of crunchy options. The psionics rules are in the Shadowforce Archer world book, and use a feats-&-skills system to gain psionic powers.

Hope this helps,
