Should they release the DNDXP material?

Either way they should do something. There will be a large number of [pre-]4e sessions going on soon and the more help they give the better, from a marketing point of view.

Now is a perfect time to give a good article on DMing 4e, conditions and some basics. Even if they dont release the adventure crunch.

Putting out an official 'lite' version would be the BEST marketing decision WotC ever made.

They claim that they want to get people playing the game because that gets people to buy the books, well, give us something to play!
 

I ran a fan made adventure last night (Raiders of Oakhurst, I got it off this site) and from the reaction I recieved from my group I must say that WotC is right. Playing the game sells it. My gaming group was either neutral to 4e or openly against it. After playing last night they are ALL planning on getting the books so we can play 4e.

I think releasing the DDX info would only help WotC and having concrete rules would have made my session even more enjoyable.
