Showdown in the Forgotten Ruins

Rhys looks on with awe. His interest in tunneling and construction has him fascinated with the scene below. Could they be buildings? An ancient city?

OOC: Wait, Rillian died? I must have missed that... :( need to back up to that, since Cade would not have left without trying something.

Anyone think we can rig a makeshift tow of Rillian? We shouldn't leave him behind, and Alton can tow him while we walk."

OOC: If I have to, I'll walk, but if we can't, Cade will at least put the body off to the side, pack up anything personal of his and put it on a bag on Alton, to return to his family.

OOC: Eskon already moved him, positioned him respectfully, and said a prayer over him. If Cade wants to do anything further, Eskon will help.

(OOC: Dragging a corpse around or not (though I'd like to know either way for speed issues), the party still has a difficult task ahead, as they seemingly need to descend several hundred feet to the crystalline formations below)

"A city? Perhaps. It was not ours to know what lay beneath the temple."

ooc: does there seem to be any less dangerous way to descent than straight down?.
"Hmpf" Findoram says "Who of you all have ropes with them? Fraid i got nothing here. Seems that we need to be going a long way down here. If we had us some wood i could build something but there seems to be none of that. Hmpf"

*Using his Stonecunning, Findoram realises that there might have been a stone path downward from here, but if so, it was collapsed relatively recently compared to the ancient age of the chamber itself. Now the only way down is...well, down.*

OOC: In that case, other than taking anything personal (jewelry, notebooks, etc) for his family, he'll leave him where he is for now.

Cade looks to see how hard it might be to climb down (other than just due to distance) and will try to guestimate the distance.

(OOC: Natural rock wall, so not very easy. It must be several hundred feet at least. It's hard to measure because the only way to see the bottom is by the light of glowing crystals, and that makes it seem distorted, as if the distance in between was swallowed by the darkness)
