And speaking of wrapping up, this will be the last Sibling Rivalry column (at least from these siblings). We've had a lot of fun writing them, and we hope you've enjoyed reading them. If you'd like to see more columns from either or both of us in the future, be sure to send a polite note to our friendly neighborhood webmaster.

No problem. I usually include such in the first post but it slipped my mind. The next couple of months will be interesting, I think.

Well, I for one am a little sad to see the back-and-forth format between Andy & Greg Collins go. Their columns were always a little more amusing to me than the other WotC web features (and not only because my brother and I are also Greg and Andy :p ). I always felt a bit like I was getting to know them a little, which is one of those personal touches we all seem to want from our RPG companies.

I don't think it's surprising. Most of the columns seem to have been planned as having limited lifespans. There are 18 series in the "retired columns" area, and I don't think it's complete.

Mind's Eye, IIRC, was planned to be a limited series. It was so popular they extended it quite a while. When they finally canceled it there was an outcry and eventually it was reinstated.

Wow, Andy's first line directly mirror's MerricB's bit about hating small rooms and he got blasted for it. Why you Shouldn't use 5 Foot Corridors

Wonder how people feel about this?

Writers and mapmakers who use 5' corridors and small rooms drive me batty. The main reason one should not use them is not even mentioned in the Merric thread - MasterMaze and Hirst Arts! Oh sure, I have a couple sets of narrow passages, but come on man - think of the miniatures! My bases rarely even fit in five-foot spaces anymore!

What DOES annoy me is how draconian the game is about how many folk can stand in a single five-foot square at once. It's stupid to think that two humans can't fight back to back in a single five-foot square. Perhaps they'll take some penalties, but it just smacks of "we don't want to encourage miniatures standing in the same square so let's not allow it." Lame.

My gawd man! Do you want to chip the paint on my figures? Lame you say? Respect the pewter and paint my man - respect it!

All adventures designers - for now on please keep the constraints of my available 3d scenery in mind when writing adventures. My players no longer have imaginations. Please no more tight quarters - I hate chipped miniatures.

Some has his funny on! :D

For myself, I feel the same now as I posted in Merric's thread: I do not want too much of one or the other, open wide or five-foot tight. I want variety but I also want there to be in-game reasons for any architectural choices made and for the meta-game reasons for those design choices to be kept to a minimum.
