Sig too long?

Hey gang --

OK -- I just tried editing my sig, even took out a couple of characters and now I am getting this message:

Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 10 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.

Almost my whole sig is in an sblock, so it doesn't take up too much vertical space on a page, so what is the problem? My original sig was OK, but my new shortened one isn't?

Why am I limited to 10 lines if 8 of them are in an sblock?

Ah, I'd never considered sblocks.

We've limited them to 10 lines because some were considerably longer than most posts; 10 seemed a reasonable limit.

I honestly don't think we have a way to account for sblocks in that. It hadn't ever occured to me before, but I can't think of a way the boards can take that into account (at least not without some extensive coding).

Do you have the sblock tags on separate lines? That would save you two lines. It doesn't look like too much text, so it should fit in the 10-line limit?
