Sigil Ciy of Doors (Topology of a Torus) - MATHS

Given I never played any Planescape (I tried reading some but the cant hurt my brain) - I didn't see anything about a spire in the 4E manual of the planes. Might not have read close enough there.

The spire is from the Great Wheel cosmology; its not present in the 4e version of the planes. In 2e and 3e, Sigil floated atop an infinitely tall spire at the center of the Outlands.

I suppose it would be pushing the bounds of good taste if I ruled that Sigil in my world was on the inside of a set of hollow (but fully enclosed Torus) shapes, enclosed in a box pocket dimension?

Because giving the players a box of doughnuts, and telling them to image the doughnuts as hollow, might be kind of campy, but I could get away with a lot in that session, using doughnuts as a player handout.

I created a map a loooong time ago whenever I ran Planescape on a piece of 12 foot paper that ran the entire length of one wall in the room. Eventually, after the game had ended we folded the paper up into a ring, reinforcing it with baling wire and hung it over the game table.

All this talk about donut turtles and closed rings with open faces is awesome and all... But seriously... Can anyone tell me how to get to Shell Beach???
