Signature Spell question

This has probably been asked before, and I see a similar quibble on another contemporary thread: Can I use Signature spell to swap for metamagic spells? If so, I would use the caveat that you must possess the appropriate metamagic.

Sounds fine to me. Besides, a Maximized Magic Missile is still a Magic Missile, and a spell in and of itself. If that weren't true, you couldn't find, scrolls or magic items with such spells.

Thanks, kreynolds. I am at the crux of the Sword Mage Prestige Class (coming to a house rules board near YOU!) and it's final ability is to apply metamagic feats at half price to the Blade Beam spell, so I want to still keep my slots open.

Yup, full round action is the same as a full attack action timewise, it just eats up your full action (just one 5' step possible in addition to it). It does not take a full round to complete, like those summon spells.

About the metamagic, the signature spell works just like any other spontaneous casting, so you can also metamagic it just like anyone else (bards, clerics and sorcerers).

Bye
