Sigs without Images

Is this possible? I've tried switching off images to avoid seeing some peoples enormous sig images, but they still appear. i don't want to turn off sigs, as some ARE amusing and/or intersting.

So, how do i get sig text, without sig images?

To be honest, I don't think you can. It's all or nothing when it comes to sigs, I believe.

I play with my User CP preferences for optimal board load time (on my slow connection).

For sigs, as far as I can tell it is as Morrus says -- all or nothing.

(The option to turn off images appears to only be for post text itself).

So I also have sigs and avatars turned off for myself.

You have different web browsers that may have that option/function (do not load images, only load text). Some of the more tech minded people might be able to help you there.

Opera allows you to shift between "show all images | show only already loaded images | show no images".

The middle option allows you to right click and load images you want to see, and it retains those images throughout the rest of your session. Thus, you could right click on KitanaVorr's avatar to show it, and not see any other images on the site.

Even better, you could load the main message board page for ENWorld with images ON, then switch to pre-loaded only, and it will keep all the important buttons.

A decent web filer can do this, but it will be quite tricky to configure. You can tell the filter to apply a rule that will remove any IMG tags between "__________________" (beginning of signatures) and "< / t d >" (end of signatures) when you read enworld.cyberstreet.com.
