I wasn't meaning this to sound like a Q&A, teach them how to behave kind of thing. I'm talking more of an IC kind of deal. When someone walks into a room, nodding at them. Discuss the weather, talk to them if they approach you rather than ignore them. Now, I am not attacking anyone. There are some people here who do exactly what I've said or are busy working on a storyline that will include anyone who decides to poke their nose into it (Dontella's storyline for example ;) ). I am really just meaning those every day Joe people. There's plenty who sit in the room and do nothing, or are simply chatting with friends about their homeworld and have people approach them and just ignore them. I believe that people need to feel welcome - be they the 12 year vet or the 1st timer. There are people who try out new characters and find themselves ignored. That's not any fun. We all come out to the ISRP Chat rooms to have fun, not sit around trying to think of a way to get someone, anyone, to notice you. I think anyone who happens to move into the ISRP IC Rooms do so because they are looking to role-play (expecially if you happen to hang out in the room for any length of time). Just because his/her idea isn't the same as yours, or they choose a different game world, or even a novel character they happen to know shouldn't mean they are shut out. I've seen great characters from different worlds interact really well. I think it would be great to see everyone get along and rp with everyone else. My feeling is that if more people get involved with each other you'll see less "god-mongers" and less "help me now!" type people and more storylines. People learn by example, so if they are brought into the RP and are made to feel welcome, they'll be more likely to try and do things they see others do to be part of the "game". :) Of course, these are just my opinions. :)
