So, that says it all. Start with the comedy "one-shot" module "Revenge of the Kobolds," then refluff classic stories and modules to be about defending the tribe. The original story was about clearing the goblins that had invaded the dwarven outpost? Now it's about kicking those stinking beardy freaks out of Kobold Territory! The Elvsies are trying to run their courier scouts and messengers through kobold territory. Stop them. Stop them all. They have a spy hiding in that caravan. Our job, identify to make sure we get him good and dead. Oh, and loot targets of opportunity too. Can't take on the whole caravan with just the 5 or 6 of us... can we?
So, that's the idea.
Is that something people would be interested in playing, do you think?

Give me rules for character swarms and improvising traps in the middle of combat and you're on!

I'd be interested in a series of one shots with such a premise, I could be hilarious, not sure if it would carry a full campaign BUT

I have long thought about doing Birthright King of the Giantdowns from the monsters perspective - I was thinking more orcs or hobgoblins, but why not Kobolds taking over?

In addition to Kobolds Ate My Baby!, which got a new edition just a few years ago, now using 9th Level Games' Polymorph game engine, the Oxventure Academy actual play has done at least one episode of "D&D, but Everyone's a Kobold" (I think they did it twice), which was hilarious. Well worth looking up on YouTube.

In any case, yes, an all-kobold game is a great idea, as is a reverse dungeon where the kobolds have to defend against NPC "player characters." Given how good kobolds are with traps, I might even let them have a period before play to place traps around the map before the adventurers arrive.
