Can anyone help me answer this: if i have a negative modifier and something allows me to slide modifier squares do i slide backwards? If this is right then it's better negative than positive B-)

No. Besides, a slide is in any direction so there's no difference between forwards/backwards. Can you push backwards? No. Can you pull forwards? No.

If your slide distance is less or equal to 0 than it is the same as being exact 0 and the result is you do nothing. No slide happens.

And reverse sliding makes no sense b/c sliding has no specific direction to begin with.

Yay, a magic physics debate. My favourite! How about this one: i was stuck in a river and opened my bag of holding above my character, sucking the water in. I then pushed the water out whilst the bag was below me to jump out. I wasn't allowed in the game but can anyone tell me if the bag acts normally when you squeeze the physical dimensions. i suspect that, since it acts as a portal to a non-space, it would come out very fast as the pressure is high.

I think you meant "it" wasn't allowed...

In any case, nothing is said about the pressure difference in the bag, but consider volume I would argue that you cannot empty the bag into a higher pressure area (more volume). So, maybe the best way to make a bag of holding nearly useless is to fill it up with helium. You'd only ever be able to empty it into a vacuum.
