D&D 5E Silly speculation about the last two PHB class characters

Li Shenron

Legend
Useless little game of the day... :p after seeing on the new WotC website the (probable) PHB artwork for 5 more classes after the official previews, the only two left to see are the Monk and the Druid.

Here's the current list of characters representing each class in the PHB:

Fighter - Human male
Barbarian - Human male
Ranger -Human* female
Wizard - Human male
Sorcerer - Human male
Paladin - Half-orc male
Cleric - Dwarf male
Bard - Half-elf* female
Rogue - Elf(Drow) female
Warlock - Gnome* female

*debatable, but at least this is what they seem to me...

No Halfling (unless the Warlock is, then no Gnome), non-Drow Elf, Dragonborn or Tiefling used yet in the characters representing classes.

My guess is the last remaining two are Halfling and Elf (thus leaving out the two least common races), and two female just to even out the numbers:

Druid - Elf female
Monk - Halfling female

Now that I think about it, Halfling Monk worries me a bit... with the new Halfling concept art, it'll look a double manga concentrate :-S

What's your guess?

I thought the Mary Sue interview indicated that the Fighter was going to be female?

I might be mis-remembering.

ETA: I was. The reference there is to the HUMAN illustration, not the fighter.

Where on the new website are we seeing these new pieces of art?

Okay, so I'm pretty sure the artwork for the classes and races on the website is NOT the same art that will be used for the class and race pages in the PHB.

Why? Because the "half-orc" pictures in the Races section is from the PHB paladin page. Obviously they're not reusing the same art in both sections, so it's likely there will be another half-orc picture in the PHB. Likewise, when they eventually update the website with the other PHB classes, they'll have to use a different picture for the paladin, meaning it won't match the PHB image.

Hope that made sense. TLDR: The website class and race art is new to 5e but not necessarily from those respective parts of the PHB.

Just follow the "New to D&D?" section and you'll see some races, classes, monsters and FR locations descriptions.

It's certainly possible. But the classes look likely to me (they also have the new "class logos" visible, although it would be a piece of cake to overimpose these on any picture), especially the Fighter, the Wizard and the Cleric. Not so much the races and monsters.
