Silver Pyromancer: Pyromancer (Eberron, Five Nations)

One of the first abilities of the Silver Pyromancer is the Pyromancer ability.

It states:

Whenever you cast a spell with the fire descriptor, use your character level as your caster level.

Since you normally go in with levels of Cleric and Sorcerer (or wizard), this seems like a nice ability.

However, since I expect my caster level to exceed my character level, (using Practiced Spellcaster for CL increase, getting CL increase from Ultimate Magus, which doesn't have a char lvl cap, and getting turn undead from Sacred Exorcist) does that mean my caster level for fire spells will be lowered to character level when I get this ability?

Essentially, the rule for stacking bonuses, metamagic, etc. is that it stacks in the most beneficial order. What this ability does is let you replace your class-based CL with character level-based CL and add modifiers on that, so instead of cleric/sorcerer CL + Practiced Spellcaster + UM + other bonuses it becomes character level + UM + other bonuses.
