Silvermoon - elven arcane trickster

Kibbitz, what do you think Soul Crusher would have as stats?

Hrmm... not the easiest of questions.

1) RoLW doesn't seem to have entry-level magical gear, so everything is either a minor artifact, or a major one. Soulcrusher falls into the major artifact category for several reasons (all which require me to spoil certain parts of the anime :p)

2) To be honest, I don't remember too much of it, having last watched the OVA a year ago and the TV series about two. Hard for me to come up with specifics unless I take time to rewatch it, and that won't be happening that soon, I'm afraid with my projects and exams and all ... :(

3) I don't game in D&D3E, though I do follow it, so I'm not really the right person to look up to stat an item. However, if pressed, I'm guessing a Great Sword with high enough enhancement bonus to bypass a Great Wyrm's DR (+5?). It does seem to actually eat souls, killing even by nicking the opponent, so any "soul eating" abilities can be applied if you like. Perhaps the Life-Stealing abilty for weapons, with increased potency in some way? Plus, if I remember correctly as well, the sword is sentient, though not intelligent. Ashram was powerful enough to subvert the sword to his will to use it, though I think there was some attack of some sort by the sword on him when he first got hold of it. Hey, it's been a year or more, I need to rewatch it :)

Otherwise, not much powers. If there are any, they're probably mini-buffs or something along those lines. Lodoss wasn't heavy on the fancy stuff anyway. If I remember correctly, I only recall 4-6 major magical artifacts/items in the series...

Cool, thanks.
I haven`t been able to get my hands on any of the episodes as of yet =(

I made it a +10 (epic) Keen, Speed, Soulsteeling weapon =)

A bit hefty, but as long as it works for you :) Won't have time to come out with proper stats for it anytime soon, sorry :(

Shooting Star, and the other one. Both probably count as the strongest dragons available (perhaps Draco Invictus?). Still, do not forget, Ashram did not win singlehandedly, and the effectiveness of his attack would definitely be decreased without having Soulcrusher in his hands.

Yeah, I figured that the dragons are alot higher than Ashram, Ashram and 4 (5 if you include the prist) warriors killed them which would be an average PC team =)

With out the Soul Crusher they all would probably be dead =)

Sorry for the late reply, I was (and still am) a bit busy. :)

DnD rules for Lodoss war? umm you woulden`t happen to know were I could get my hands on them?

We just played standard D&D3E, the DM made up the NPCs and used the plot... didn't like the NPCs, tho.

Have you though of mayby trying to hunt down one of those Moonblades?

What Moonblades? These elven swords from FR?
We do not play in the FR in this campaign.

Or is that something from RoLW?
When we played that, it was with entirely different characters (and even players, 'cept me).

Are you still playing with Silvermoon?

Pretty much weekly! :)

Just recently we slew a Dracolich (man, was that thing tough - killed our Mage TWICE (in the same combat ;))) and she found the 2nd part of 5 or 6 total needed to put an artifact together, which will lead her further towards her destiny (has to do with the sword she carries).

Bye
Thanee
