Simple question (I hope) regarding the WarMage (from Mini HB)

I am confused as to how many spells a WarMage knows each level. It isn't very clear in the book. At first level he can cast 5 0-level spells and 3 1st level spells. He has small spell list he can choose his spells from. For his level zero spells, he can choose from: acid splash, disrupt undead, light and ray of frost. Does he actually pick the spells he can cast ahead of time, or can he cast any of those spells at any time, up to a maximum of 3 times per day?

I believe the consensus is that the warmage knows all spells on his limited spell list, as well as those he receives thanks to his advanced learning ability.

Fort: +11 (+5 EK, +4 HM, +2 WM)
Ref: +5 (+2 EK, +1 HM, +2 WM) --- Yeah, I know :(
Will: +11 (+2 EK, +4 HM, +5 WM)
At level 20, average HP will be: 121 (average dice rolls + Imp. Toughness + Con)

I wanted to do some major offense. I like that the HM allows you to cast a spell and attack in the same round (as a full round action). So I wanted to qualify for Havoc Mage as soon as possible. I added the Psionic stuff so it will be easier for me to hit things in the late levels. My BAB is going to suffer, but I figured True Strike coupled with Deep Impact would help me out there. Went 2-Handed Weapon so I could do True Strike + max power attack. I also like the sudden maximize with the Battlecasting. I have a lot of options available to me depending on the situation.

True Strike + Full Power Attack w/ 2-H Weapon + Deep Impact (or Psionic Weapon)

Regular Attack + Sudden Maximized damage spell (or Sudden Empowered damage spell (or both ???)) + Deep Impact (or Psionic Weapon)

I know I am suffering a little on the AC, and my Ref save, but I'll just have to deal with it...

Any advice?
