Simple request, difficult answer.

I am looking for a non web based grid program for dnd. Lot of catches though. Am trying to organize some pnp gaming at work. So it would have to be something I can install locally and connect via IP to everyone involved. If anyone is familiar with Megamek off Sourceforge, that would be the most ideal type of program.

Doesn't need to be 4e related, just a way to place markers on a custom grid to illustrate combat. Any thoughts?

I'm seeing some potential here, thanks!

Spoke too soon. Looks like it has to contact the website to launch (no local install) and therefore is certainly to be blocked by the firewall at work. I've gotten around this before by downloading/installing everything and then packaging it up to transport on the work machine...not sure that'll work here though.

Sounds like it is time to buy your IT Manager some Toblerone and a bottle of single malt...

There is a local install I thought. Download the ZIP file, not the Java Web Start.
