This week’s TTRPG crowdfunding sampler features projects ending between March 4 to 13. Among the Kickstarter and Backerkit campaigns, GameFound is stepping up their crowdfunding for tabletop games in general and roleplaying games in particular. They announced an exclusive deal with CMON, and we’re seeing more TTRPGs appearing there including options from Studio Agate and Shadowlands.

- WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Studio Agate, creators of Shadows of Esteren and FateForge 5e products, are back with an original TTRPG. This project is one of two Arthurian based TTRPGs crowdfunding on GameFound. King Arthur escaped to Avalon. A century later, Avalon fell. The last humans have to defend the realm from the Wyrdness that descends. Using a variation of the award-winning Story Arc System (SAS) system, you’ll act as a protector of the remnants of the once great land. Based on the board games (The Fall of Avalon and The Kings of Ruin) and video games (Tainted Grail: Conquest and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon), this project adapts their setting to a TTRPG. - WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Mordred slew King Arthur. Britannia is a despotic land fallen into eternal night. You must rise up and reclaim the realm or die trying. Using a d6 dice pool engine, your Ability determines pool size, with at least one 5 or 6 required to succeed. The boxed set offers multiple hardcovers including rules, setting, and adventures. As with Tainted Grail, this is another Arthurian-inspired TTRPG on GameFound, and it’s worth checking out.

- WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? Described as “rustic fantasy,” Legend in the Mist takes the updated City of Mist engine, the one piloted in :Otherscape, and sets your characters in a smaller, cozier world of fantasy adventures. Described as an engine that might support stories in the style of The Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time, and Princess Mononoke, you’re getting a tag based system without numeric stats. Instead, you use short descriptions that can be applied to your actions. If you tried City of Mist, this is an improvement over that version of the engine. The game has a setting, Hearts of Ravensdale, built on wonder over power or oddball encounters.
