Simpsons - Treehouse of Horror XIII

The series begins its 14th season---tying it with Ozzie and Harriet as TV's longest-running comedy---with its annual Halloween trilogy.

In the first story, a magical new hammock enables Homer to “Send In the Clones,” a small army of duplicates that he happily dispatches to do chores---until one kills Flanders. Next is “The Fright to Creep and Scare Harms,” in which Springfield is invaded by a posse of cowboy zombies led by Billy the Kid, prompting Homer to go back in time to save the day. In the finale, the family ships out for “The Island of Dr. Hibbert,” where they become guinea pigs in experiments to cross humans with animals.

I just saw a recent rerun of a older Halloween special; the one where Bart and Lisa get trapped in the television with Itchy and Scratchy. I'd forgotten about the flying piranha (shot from a firehose) that reduce Bart to a skeleton in a matter of moments. Might make for an interesting D&D creature (snas firehose or replacing it with a appropriate device). Anyone ever snag anything from the show to use in a game?

Only by a few days, has to be on Sunday after all. I think it was originally supposed to be on this past Sunday, but got pushed back because of the World Series.

Yeah, I think so. They should have pushed back the World Series 30 minutes. This isn't the first year that the Halloween special came in November either. The bad precedent turns into a bad tradition.:mad:

Actually there's already a creature like that. Creature Collection 2, a horde of vermin (rat-like creatures) called Flesh Strippers. They attack when people/cattle are asleep and usually don't worry about it waking up since they have a special vemon that acts like anethestia (sp)

14 years I can't believe it has been on that long. I remember how taboo it was when it first aired. I can't wait for the haloween special, they are all soooooo good.

Actually, they should have aired it for TV viewers in the Western and Hawaiian Time Zones, since the World Series is broadcasted live in our areas' afternoon period. Hehehe. :p
