Simpson's Halloween Special (Sunday Nov 3rd)

I liked the first segment alright (the clone story; favorite bit: the appearance of Original Homer [as drawn in the Tracey Ullman Show skits] and the dad from "Family Guy"), didn't like the second part much (the Simpsons writers that could do political/social satire have apparently left the building), and almost liked the third -- it seemed like it just barely missed being very funny. It was too short, I think.

In other words, Wormwood was right -- I thought it was much like recent seasons, which is to say, "uneven, and not as good as it used to be".

The first episode about the magic hamock was the funniest out of all the three. The last one was a little...corny. And the one in the middle was just crap on toast.

It was the clone add teasers that really made me want to see it. I too will have to catch it in reruns.

How many more seasons do you think they have left?

I'll have to be the lone voice of dissent and say that I loved the second vignette (The Anti/Pro-gun story). The juxtaposition of the two views and the flamboyant face-slap to pro-and anti- arguments in the same seven minutes was true Simpsons style, in my eyes.
