Sinbad As Epic Game? (spoilers)

When a movie opens by killing a kraken that was sent by the goddess of discord, has two characters take on a roc, and involves sailing off the end of the world, does it qualify as epic?

I recommend this one for GMs. :) Very cool!

The kraken wasn't actually killed. It used its feign death supernatural ability. ;)

I already posted a long winded response to this in the other Sinbad thread...sort of. I had been looking forward to this movie for some time and was not let down.

And strangely enough I saw it with my boyfriend/GM and now , strangely enough , in our game, our PCs have to suddenly travel somewhere by boat...

He swears that it's just "coincedence"...but I dunno...

:)

Happy day!

Saw it last night with the wife and kids and loved every minute of it. To me, the storytelling, effects and overall mood of the movie showed what I aspire to in the campaign that I run.

And, best of all, to have my wife, who plays, but really can't let herself "go" to roleplay, it was like an epiphany...At the conclusion of the movie, she turns to me and says, "I was thinking of how much this was like a good D&D game. That was cool!"

And this from a woman who it took YEARS of convincing before she'd ever sit down to play...Ahhhh, makes me so proud...
