Six From Gate Pass - A War of the Burning Sky Campaign (3.5)

Hrimr extends his hand out to the guard for a harty dwarven hand shake and in Dwarven says:

[sblock] Thanks for the information. If Gate Pass can hold out we should definitley celebrate with some Ale! First round is on me![/sblock]

Hrimr then heads back over to Torrent and the others.

GM: If you're grabbing a lantern, just mark it off on your sheet. It comes with 1 pint of oil

Torrent grabs a lantern from the gate house, which the guards light for her, and walks over with the dwarf to the front door of the tower. The guard unlocks the front door with a massive iron key and bids you all a good night before striding back to the gate house.

"Remember, our contact's name is Rivereye Badgerface. He is expecting to meet his usual contact and friend, a man named Peppin Tallman. So, we may need to convince him that we're his new contact."

Torrent opens the door and turns back to you all. "Ready? Lets get this case and get out of the city." She then steps through the doorway.

From the light of your lanterns, you can see that the first floor of the tower is one huge room, and though the far side is hidden in shadows, it looks to be about sixty feet in diameter. A broad stone ramp circles clockwise upward to the left of the door, while the interior of the room is filled with aisles of metal lockers, each slightly larger than a coffin propped upright. The ceiling is twenty feet high, supported by squat round columns.

As far as you can tell, you are the only people in this room.

"Two women. Bet they'll sleep warm tonight, too. Ok! Let's go kill dragons and such."

Arnir shakes his head in disbelief, but cannot help but smile at the boy's enthusiasm. He says nothing, but offers a silent prayer that the group comes nowhere near a dragon of any kind.

Arnir then follows Torrent to the mouth of the tower, hold his bow out before him and with a few muted words and a gesture, the bow begins to emit a steady bright white glow and scans 40ft in front of him to see if he can glimpse anything nearby.

"Hrmir, can you see anything?"

OOC: Arnir has cast light, which will last for 20 minutes. It provides 20ft of normal light, and an additional 20ft of dim light.

[sblock="What Arnir sees"]There is not much of interest on this first floor. Your light cannot penetrate the whole of the room, but you doubt there is anything other than more metal lockers.[/sblock]

[sblock="What Hrimr sees"]Your vision penetrates the entirety of the room, but you don't see anything of interest beyond the staircase and the rows of metal lockers.[/sblock]

Torrent replies:"Hmmmm he's probably up on a higher level. Anyone want to do anything down here or should we head up and look around?"

"Seeing as we're down here, maybe we should take a look around for anything that might be useful to us in our struggles? I'm sure no one would mind, given our intention to save the city"

"The guard did warn us not to have sticky fingers in here and I'm inclined to listen to him. I saw we move out and find the Gnome. We may not be the only ones looking for him."
