Size in bola ranged trip attack?

I was curious how people do the ranged bola trip attack. As it is a ranged attack, would the thrower's size affect the attacker's trip roll? (i.e. would a halfling throwing a bola have a -4 to his roll? or an ogre throwing a bola have a +4 to his roll?) And if it is determined by the size of the bola, how would you rule for throwing inappropriately sized bolas? (i.e. halfling throwing a med-sized bola?).
