• NOW LIVE! Into the Woods--new character species, eerie monsters, and haunting villains to populate the woodlands of your D&D games.

Skill Points: Do you max out a few skills or spread them around?

I always max skills out, and maybe put one in an exclusive skill if I have a high score in that area. If I was a druid, I would generally put one pt in intuit direction on the off chance it becomes usefull.

Since the challenges a party faces get more powerful, the party needs ever higher scores to compete. A +6 in spot might help you stop a pick pocket at 1st level, but it won't save you from an assassin at 10th. If you buy lots of skills, you will have lots of useless skills.
