Skiprock: Clarification

According to Sword and Fist, Page 74:
Skiprocks could be used as sling bullets, but using a skiprock's richochet ability in conjunction with a sling requires taking the Exotic Weapon proficiency specifically for that purpose.

So does that mean an EWP(Skiprock) is sufficient, or something like a EWP(Skiprock-Sling)?

You would have to take it specifically for use with a sling.

Basically: EWP (Skiprock - Thrown) and/or EWP (Skiprock - Sling)

Gee, I'd do the same. Obviously its better to shoot the skiprock from a sling, especially if you are also letting halfling have a +1 racial bonus with the sling. The skiprock is not such an amazing item that one should have to use 2 feats to master it in all its forms.
