Adventure! was originally a White Wolf game using the Storyteller system. Actually a trilogy of games, along with Aberrant (a supers-in-the-modern-world setting) and Trinity (a sci fi setting). The Storyteller versions have been dropped, and WW is now publishing d20 versions of Adventure! and Aberrant - Trinity is supposed to be forthcoming. I'm pretty sure WW still has a set of message boards dedicated to the Trinity Universe at their website:

I watched Sky Captain right after purchasing OGL Steampunk. I kept fitting characters to classes and vocations... It would be very easy to implement in OGL Steampunk, just use the weapons and purchase DCs from D20 Modern and you are good to go.

The Auld Grump, yes, I was thinking of running a game in the setting too...

I took my whole family to see it yesterday.

My son's reaction was one of the most wonderful things I have ever seen. As we watched, first he leaned against me. Then, later, as the action picked up, he sat forward several times, clutching his jacket intensely, entranced by the screen. He was hypontized. It was wonderful to see that from the other side. What a wonderful movie. I wonder if I looked like that once, watching Star Wars, maybe. Makes a geek Dad PROUD.

Ah yes, I know how you feel. Went through the same thing.

My coolest moment was when a certain *really cool thing I don't want to spoil* happened, and when I turned to look at my son with that eyes-wide-mouth-a-tiny-circle-of-"holyCRAPThatwasCool" look, he was looking at me with the same look. :)

TheAuldGrump, I've read over OGL Steampunk also, and a couple others for a similar type setting, more of a Victorian-pulp type thing that we're working on. Mmmm.... dirigibles and steam-powered biplanes and all kinds of neatness.

Amazing movie! I loved it. Got me to work on a 30's-40's pulp game using the Mutants and Masterminds ruleset. I am thinking of starting characters at PL 3 with limits on what "powers" they can take.
