(SL) Help requested! The Sage is in trouble....

As some of you remember from my previous posting, I'm creating
some pre-generated characters, for two reasons. 1) That's all my gaming group seems to do! 2) It's also an attempt to get them to try out the Scarred Lands. Now I've made about 4-5 different characters but the one thing I REALLY want to try out is a "Titanspawn" PC. It's easy to run a regular old type of PC. But I thought this one time around, to add some flavor to it, I'd get one of the players (It will probably be four people), to be sort of the outcast in the group. Certainly the player's character will suffer a lot of suspicion and maybe even a few attacks. That said, I haven't quite figured out WHICH race/monster type to use. I definately am using CC1 and CC2 to make this basis off of since they will be very different and take the player some getting use to. If any one of you SL followers of mine have any suggestions, or even just comments on the viability of such a venture, I'd be happy to hear them. Also if any of you non-SL types want to know what I'm choosing and figuring for ELCs, I'll be happy to post that here.

You could use one of the shadow-jester like creatures from the Carnival Crew. IIRC, they are low HD, so could be easily made into a player race.

It also allows the party to be hunted by the Crew- which is always a good thing.. err.. for the DM.

I had thought about that...but I'm not 100% sure I want to involve the Carnvial of Shadows in Hollowfaust JUST yet...but that's definately something to consider. Thanks FD.

How about using a Sutak?

I don't have my books at hand now, but I believe it would be a +1 or +2 ECL tops.

Asaathi could also work fine.

Hornsaw forest gorgon spy with good disguise magic. Oh wait, you want them to know he is titanspawn and an outcast. Have him be one of those desert horsemen, (Sutahk?) who was a spy for hallowfaust but was found out and had to flee to the city for his life. Even though he worked for Hallowfaust nobody there likes or trusts him that much.

Do you own the ratmen supplement? I don't but I know it has PC info for some of the breeds. Not sure how they'd get into Hallowfaust openly though.

I have seriously considered Sutak. Even with the fire resistance 10, I don't see him being more than +1

Asathi are just a LITTLE too much. They get damn good bonuses in EVERYTHING! Not a single penalty there. But maybe at +3, +4 I could stomach it. He'd be an outcast though for sure.

As I said I'm considered Sutak. But the trouble I have is I'm running the damn thing IN Hollowfaust. Explain that one to me cause I can't find a way around it...

Ratmen are getting a serious look...but the ELCS would be killer on all of them. I have Warrens and I'm still not quite sure WHICH race I want to use. (But I've already decided no Red Witches and no White Wraiths since I want use my female half elf necromancer.)

I forgot about the Slitheren. They could also be made into a reasonable PC race, even though they would be reviled like, well, like Slitheren!

P.S.: I apologize for being absent from your realm in mortality for this long. I've had a computer problem and had to dish out 300 bucks to fix it.

Now that my piece of crap is back up and running I'll make sure to visit the realm. There must be a lot of new things going on there...

Right. Part of why I want to try that out...but I'm still wary more for the fact that the vast majority of Slitheren have +6 Con modifier (At least the ones in CC1 and CC2)

Glad your back Bronzey and YES I have updated that. I wasn't selected for R&R2 but I did post my magic items and one true ritual on there. So go ahead and take a look.

Btw thanks to Knight Otu for doing the ELC caculations on Soldarians's site. I think a good number of them are dead on...but I disagree with the Sutak being ELC +2. Even with that fire resistance, it's still only as bad as a gnoll. Also the Ratmen, well this might be a first but the Brown Gorger and the Diseased need to have their ELC's up to +3. The Red Witch, I do agree is a +4. The rest are fine. I will use these ELCs, at least for the ones I agree with.
