Slave Prices?

The only thing I remember seeing is in Necromancer Games 3.5 version of City State of The Invincible Overlord for Judges Guild. Gave tables for effect of high abilities and skills. As well as age, sex, and health.

Wait, Lords of Madness have more Neogi info?? Dammit, and here I thought I was going to manage to avoid this book...

But Goods & Gear also has slave prices. They seem awfully cheap, though.

Another "vote" for the slave price guidelines found in Lords of Madness.

They're easy to use, flexible, comprehensive (based on CR - which everything has), and easy to manipulate, modify, and adjust to cover whatever circumstances you want (% multipliers, for example, to cover rarity, quality, etc.).

Here's what I use for cost of a slave to PCs. In the general market slaves may be much cheaper (mass population sold as spoils of war) or more expensive (the beautiful princess kidnapped to order):

"Slaves & Companions: A PC may normally begin play accompanied by 1 slave or other dependent companion NPC, such as a servant, spouse, bodyguard, ward or child. This costs 1 of the PC's 3 Contacts. Slaves or companions must be of the NPC classes Expert, Aristocrat, or Warrior (or Commoner if desired), and acquiring one also costs the following amounts from PC's starting money. Add Level cost to Point Buy cost.

Level 1 - 30gp 2 - 40gp 3 - 50gp 4 (max) - 70gp
14PB - 10gp 16PB - 15gp 20PB - 20gp 24PB (max) - 30gp
Slave or Companion NPCs may be created by the player with GM's approval, and may not be higher level than the PC (usually maximum 4th). They are usually played by the GM, the GM may ask the player to play the NPC eg for combat. "

These prices are crazy cheap. Remember, even an unskilled slave can generate at least 1 SP of revenue a day, and given economies of scale, supporting numbers of slaves will be much, much cheaper than supporting an individual.

In my campaign, where slavery (and liberation therefrom) is a major theme, the "default" value for a slave is 350 gp, which is approximately 1 sp per day over 10 years. This can go down (rarely; most slave-owners won't buy a sickly or weak slave) or up (much more often; based on physical or mental excellence, or expected lifespan).
