Sleeeeep: Knocking out a Captive

Drow Sleep Poison, from the SRD.

Its initial damage is DC 13 Injury for 1 minute of unconsciousness, and its secondary damage is 2d4 hours of unconsciousness (and all for only 75gp!).

Feel free to increase the potency for a more difficult save.

Alternatively, have you considered Charisma, Intelligence, or Wisdom damage? Each of those causes the affected target to fall unconscious when the relevant ability score hits 0, and take 8 hours of rest to heal 1 point ... :)

EDIT:

There's also:

Oil of taggit, Ingested DC 15, which has no initial damage and secondary damage of unconsciousness (1d3 hours) (90gp). Blue whinnis (Injury DC 14) does 1 point of initial Con damage and 1d3 hours unconscious as a secondary effect (120gp).

Also, I love the MST3K reference!

How about poisons? "Oil of Taggett" does no initial damage, but causes unsonsciousness if you fail the DC15 secondary save. Unconsciousness only lasts a few hours, but since there's no actual damage done, you could just re-apply to keep the spellcaster out for the full duration.

If you're trying to put yourself out, you could voluntarily fail the fort save. And have your familiar re-apply as necessary.

at 90gp a pop, it could get pretty expensive over the long-term, though. You'd need at least 8 doses to make sure you got through the night, (720gp), and that's just one night.

How about Suggestion? Duration of 1 hour/level, target "One Living Creature". It doesn't specifically say that you can't target yourself, and voluntarily fail the will save.

I don't think that she wants to knock herself out. I believe that it's for a captive. :)
