Slide Previews - Publishers: I need your product images please!!

Michael Morris

First Post
I know not everyone gets to go to Gencon, and even everyone at the con won't make the awards, so I'm going to preview the show slides here as they are produced.

Publishers, I need product images from you - at least a company logo and book cover image. A backdrop is desirable but not required. Do not send them as part of one image - send them seperately so that I can apply Power Point animations to them.

I have images for Blue Rose, Beyond Countless Doorways, Dawning Star and THAT'S IT. While I can put something somewhat viewable by googling for stuff, I'd prefer not to do that since image quality is widely different from site to site.

Anyway, here's the first two I have done.

This slide has a portion of the cover in the background and faded to make the foreground text readable. The motiff on the left margin is lifted off the website.

Again a zoom in of the cover is the backdrop to the slide overall.

Email all images to mlmorr0@uky.edu in JPG, GIF or PNG format (PNG preferred) or email me a link I can browse to in order to fetch the image. Please avoid sending me anything larger than 1 MB

Michael, what image size and dpi are you looking for?

For both covers and company logos?

dpi is irrelevant since these won't be printed - they're being displayed on screen. The resolution of that screen is 1024x768. This means I don't need anything larger than mayber 2000x1000, and I can work with something 1000x500 or so.

The slides above for Malhavoc & Green Ronin should give you an idea of the image sizes size they are 1024x768 - they are the actual slides I'll be using for those companies provided neither complains.

That's one of the reasons for this preview thread - I want to catch any errors BEFORE the show. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from getting Midnight wrong.

MM, you may need to check your e-mail. I just sent both images as separate e-mails (each under 1mb) and received error messages.

I cleared my mailbox out a bit, but it wasn't full. Try posting the images somewhere and PM'ing me a link.
