Slowdown in posting due to slowdown in general.

Apologies to everyone in and running the games I'm in.

The past three days...really longer, but especially the past three...have seen Enworld practically inaccessible to me, due to massive slowdown in load times. Literally every time I want to look in a thread, it can take in excess of 2 or 3 minutes. It doesn't sound like much, but spread out over all the games I'm in, and their associated OOC threads, and it adds up in a HURRY.

This is more of an issue when I sneak on from work, which means I will not be doing that as often as I have in the past. As a result, my posting will primarily be on weekends and evenings until things improve...and even from home it will be slower.

If that's a problem, let me know.

The site is bordering on unusable for me. I have tried 3 different internet connections, including my work one, which is normally lightning quick. Many times it fails also, losing my post, which in the game I DM frustrated the hell out of me. Wasted 1/2 hour after adding in all the rolls, description, etc. and *boom* all gone. Not sure what the problem is, but it's extremely frustrating. I don't have an extra hour a day to mess around with poor servers (or whatever the issue is), but I don't want to drop out of the games I'm in as I'm enjoying them. I hope they fix this soon, maybe it's just everyone jumping on as 4e is about to launch.

I usually post twice a day.. once before work (Around now), and then again after work/before bed (About 12 hours from now).

I find that in the afternoon, it takes several minutes but during the night it acts fairly normal, taking almost no time to load.

I have the same problems inversed, living in another time-zone.

I think your computer is alright, but ENworld has some slowdowns.

Aye, ENWorld's been having a lot of problems for a few months now, they've been trying to fix it but it keeps coming back. There was talk of an 'ENWorld 2' that was supposed to be a fix for it, but I haven't heard anything about it recently.

But no, to anybody who's wondering : it is not your connection/computer, it's world-wide, and they've admitted that it is a problem with the site and they're working on it. Until then, all we can do is be patient and try to log on when the site traffic isn't quite so heavy.

I have noticed the slow down but it seems only recently to me not tried the day night but am off to morrow will see

just hold on there renau1g at least till i can best this misarable hobgoblin lol i have had the same problems type for a 1/2 hour getting everything rolls what others have said and all gone not posted very fustrating

I'm experiencing the same issues as everyone else, and it does appear to depend on posting times. Unfortunately, my common times to post are when it seems to be the worst.

I've noticed it too, especially during the day

I advise everyone to copy their posts to the clipboard before posting, just in case it's lost.
