Has anyone else has trouble with ENWorld lately? Yesterday was especially bad. It took nearly 5 minutes every time I clicked on something.

Yeah, the last day or two has been causing me trouble. First time in a long while for me.

Spoony Bard has a (small) notice that the board will be experiencing slow times for the next few days as the search table is reindexed. I was having a hard time even posting new threads last night.

Notice: The Server is currently working on reindexing the search table. The first 1.250,000 or so threads are done, I'm going to continue letting this process during the weekend so the server might seem sluggish (though I haven't noticed a performance hit). Please be patient - at this rate search should be up completely late Monday or so.

The reindexing is over but it is hanging up somewhere between 2,500,000 and the end. I need to figure out why. Meanwhile I'll check other problems this evening after work.

Just talking out my rear here, but is there any chance it is related to DB logging? I'm not familiar enough with MySQL to know, but could there be an issue where the DB logs need to be committed so they are purged?

Only the rare page that takes three of four tries to load, other than that I have had smooth sailing.

I don't think so - I don't think MyISAM type tables use logging - but it might be it. I'll look into it tonight.

I've been able to post ok in regular threads, but I've been trying to post a press release and it just hangs and times out. I don't know if it's related to the other issues.

That's what happens when you're popular I guess.
