Smallville 10 20 04 (Spoilers?)

Rumor has it, is that this was a psuedo-pilot episode for a spin off series for Flash. WB wants another hit TV series like it had with Buffy and Smallville, Birds of Prey was a flop (their own fault for killing it after 13 eps).

*shaking head*... Well, if they want another 'superhero' show...they got to treat it right, like get a writer that has written the character before in a book(like Loeb with Smallville) and work it from there.

As Marvel likes drawing in, writers/directors to do their books, why can't Television do the same...it is a gold mine both ways.

My main problem with Birds of Prey, it didn't feel much like any of the comics...and yet it was way too pretentious to be taken very seriously.

(Hello! I love Mark Hammill as the VOICE of the Joker but you CAN get a better Joker than him.)

But yeah we need someone that has experience in writing Flash comics IF we want a good Flash show. (I believe the TV show had some of the flash writers on standby)

What I find amusing is in related Supes news, Amy Ecker is supposed to be one of the people (though it might not be true any more) for the new Superman movie BUT WB REALLY wants to bring back Angel. Trouble is they can't get the people back quick enough especially if they want the old budget...and no one else does. (Not even Joss even though he wants to do more Angel stuff.)

In any event a spin off for Flash AND a spinoff of the Batman Begins movie would be what I want from WB. AND I want decent writers for both. Dini isn't an option however.

Sad part of this, I didn't watch Birds of Prey at all, because a certain element wasn't there to attract me...I believe it was quality

Birds of Prey... ick. I kept watching it week after week, praying it would get better, but it never did. I gave up on it a couple episodes before it was canceled.

The best I can say for it was that I liked the actress who played Babs Gordon/Oracle. She was good in the role. Other than that? I thought it was lousy.

I really liked this show. Just good clean fun. As far as in jokes, did anybody else notice the lightning bolt on the backpack. I really thought the end of the last race was classic. The fake id's really got to me to.
