Yes, but Lex also said that the teachers said the same thing, almost as if they had been told to say it. It is possible that Adam Knight is a person on paper only.

I really liked what the kid said about Adam. He mentioned that he thought that Adam was already dead.

Didn't Bruce Wayne die inside when his parents were murdered? He never really lived after that. Vengeance and anger were his bread and butter....

I think they are leaving things open. He could be Batman or he could not. The writers are being really vague.

Luckily, we get to see more of Adam in the next episode.

As for the father, I figured that death was the price he paid for those super powers. We all know that his father has a heart attack and dies and that is when Clark leaves to create the Fortess of Solitude and begin his destiny.

Anywho, even his father said "not yet" while he was dying. He knows that he will die. I feel sorry for Martha Kent.

Actually, since the Superman revision in 1986 (courtesy of John Byrne), Pa and Ma Kent live happily in Smallville, and the Fortress of Solitude was created by the last kryptonian apparatus, the Eradicator, after trying to turn the Earth into Krypton II.

Pa Kent only dies in the movies. (pre-1986, both Kents died before Clark donned the cape).

Yes, but the creators of smallville are mirroring the movie. Ever noticed the music they play when Clark encounters Chris Reeve and later Jor-el? Yep, the John Williams soundtrack!

I do think that they will have Pa Kent die. That will be the last straw that allows Clark to break away from Smallville.

In other news. apparently, they have a weekly newspaper article on the Smallville web site. The news article talks about how Pa Kent was rushed to the hospital.

I still think Adam Knight is Batman. Lex suspects that his background is false.

Also, I don't think Pa Kent is dead. The previews for next week look like a normal episode, and they would not kill off a major character and then just go "business as usual" the next week.

He'll probably be in the hospital, this being a warning of things to come.

He doesn't seem to be able to remember his past but can do martial arts, hack into computers and can play the piano like a master.

I haven't seen any evidence that Adam does not remember. He remembers just fine. He just evades when anyone asks about his past.

If Pa Kent is going to die, and that death frees Clark to go off to become Superman, then that death is still pretty far off. Clark isn't ready in any way. The show seems designed to cover Clark's high school days, and possibly college years. So, Pa may have quite a few miles left in him.

I read somewhere that the show was devoloped for a 5 year arc, high school and a little time after and that any seasons after will be handled if and when they come available.
