smetzger's feat polls

I really like reading the discussions/debates in smetzger's feat polls. His polls are the first threads I look for when I come to the Rules Forum daily. I would like him to do them more often than what seems to be one a week.

What do you think?

I agree that I like to read about them - it gives me the familiarity that playing a character with it would give without having to spend the time and energy, which makes my NPC's much more effective in using their abilities to the maximum capability as well as lets me design NPCs appropriately given the particular party in question.

However, I would not have enough time to pay attention to more than one a week. So I (selfishly) polled for 1/week. However, on another note, I think that the one/week has in a sense given the polls a sense of tradition and pattern - almost like getting Dragon once a month. You look forward to getting the magazine and thoroughly enjoy reading it (barring the new edition of polyhedron anyway) but if you could get them too often the magazines would lose a sense of speciality.

They are very interesting. But I feel anything more than 2 per week and they wouldnt get the attention that they deserve.

I think 2 a week would be great if they were stagered, start one on Monday, the other on Thursday or something like that.

I usually do one a week, or when there are 50 votes, whichever comes first.

But if a bunch of people want 2 a week that could be done.

I could handle 2 a week, and we have a lot of feats to go, so speeding it up a bit would be fine by me.

Hmm, I'm the only one who suggested 4/week so far?

I think they're valuable resources, and several of them have changed how I feel about certain feats. I wouldn't think that 4/week would be too much, since people have a lot of time to respond to them; you could read/vote on one per day and still have plenty of time to make a good analysis of the feat.

I'd love to also see prestige classes discussed and debated.

But I'd like to see all them discussed before I die, so maybe 2 feats and 2 prestige classes each week? I mean, you are polling for feats in only the second book so far, in what, a year of doing it?

Seeing these discussions and debates are really helpful to me. I know you don't want to swamp the boards with polls, but at the rate you're going it will be 2005 before we get to Masters of the Wild.

Wonder if there could be a seperate forum for discussing/ debating the feats and prestige classes. Each feat and each class gets its own thread.

Hmm, maybe that'd be to much though?

I voted 4 per week because I love those polls and would like to see the result for all feats asap (I never was the patient type )

However, Smetzger started to post once a week because some people complained that they were posted too often. You might want to wait for those guys to give their advice before changing the schedule but honestly, I think they are interesting enough to appear more often.

What about 2 feats and 2 PrCs per week?
