This is a movie about death and relationships. But mostly about death. Quiet and soft deaths and hugely loud and explosive deaths. It is also a great example of why a Barret Light .50 Sniper rifle would make a great substitute for the fist of an angry god...

One of the things that impressed me is the depth of the characters. There aren't any "throw away" people in this film. I felt I had a good grasp of who each of them was. And then they died. Don't get attached to any character in this movie...

Other things that impressed me: Alicia Keyes can act, at least for a talented singer. She also looks rather nice dressed up as a hooker. Ryan Reynolds stole the show. I never, NEVER realized he actual was an actor and not just some goofy character.

The pacing of this film was great. I was never bored. It pretty much nailed the term "action". I really enjoyed seeing this. I recommend seeing it or at least adding it to your Netflix list...

Is Alicia, in Fact, Nude in this movie?

As I've seen various reviews & mentions of her as a "Lesbian Prostitue", plus a R rated Blow em up; The gratutitous Nudity Scale is quite high.

Or, perhaps a Scene of Near Nudity (As in look for the Director's Unrated Cut, in about 3 months).

Not that I'm saying I'd see a movie just because Alicia's Nude in it.

But, as most reviews have been so-so, I'm looking for more positives to influence my desicion.

I bear sad tidings VD, Ms. Keyes is not nude in the movie. She is dressed in skin tight clothing suitable for a career in streetwalking however. There is only one semi-nude woman in the film as far as I could tell. Regardless, the movie is still darn entertaining.

Saw it tonight and enjoyed it majorly. And Ryan Reynolds did indeed steal the show. Just like he did in Blade Trinity, just like the did in Amityville Horror. I think I like him better as a more serious character with funny moments.

The leader of the three brothers was also hilarious during his "life happens" speech near the end.

I couldn't bring myself to see BT. After Blade II sucked so much I just couldn't do it... I still have fond memories of the first Blade...

That movie rocked, IMO. One of the best action movies of recent memory, really.

BT got such bad word of mouth that I lowered my expectations and actually ended up enjoying it on DVD. I was least impressed by the first Blade.

I must also admit that I have loved anything Reynolds is in. Smokin' Aces is something I will certainly get on whatever HD disc format it hits first.

I take this back. Now that I have seen the movie, I agree with a previous poster that he can actually act. And save for the last scene (which wasn't his fault) I really liked him in this movie.

This movie was pretty f-ing cool BTW.
