Okay so I have an island chain overrun by evil dragons.
they have been there a long time and many live by fishing, and whaling
The adventures want to sneak past by small boat - on a 10 day journey
through the territory of 2 old and 1 adult dragons.
they are a 5th illusionist and a 6th cleric, some muscle and crew(if needed).
Is this possible ?
I considered invisblity sphere and travel during the day
or deeper darkness, and traveling at night - although it makes navigation difficult
neither one holds up to close scrutiny - but mostly they just want to keep from being seen by a distant passing dragon.
Is it possible to cast deeper darkness inside a basket at the top of the mast -
so that it would radiate upward, leaving the boat under a shadow? this would seem a good bet if it works. Preventing star navigation but letting the crew see rocks ahead.
The dragons are dumber than most, and don't have any reason to hunt the group, aside from territoriality - and may be susceptable to bribery.
Or just spend a lot of money and buy a wind walk &/or teleport.
