So, does this work the way I think it does?

Alright, so lets say you have the kind of DM that allows feats, powers, classes, etc from all published sources. Is the following legit?

Start as a (Slayer) Fighter (Essentials)

Level 1 Feat: Take Sneak of Shadows (PHB 1)

Sneak of Shadows [Multiclass Rogue]
Prerequisite: Dex 13
Benefit: You gain training in the Thievery skill.
Once per encounter, you can use the rogue’s Sneak Attack class feature.

Level 2 Utility Power: Doesn't matter, whatever you want...

Level 8 Feat: Acolyte Power (PHB 1)

Acolyte Power [Multiclass Utility]
Prerequisite: Any class-specific multiclass feat, 8th level
Benefit: You can swap one utility power you know for one utility power of the same level or lower from the class you multiclassed into.

Swap out your level 2 Utility power, for:

Escape Artist's Trick
You slip forward to engage your enemy, then spring back and out of its grasp after delivering an attack.

At-Will *** Martial **** Rogue Utility
Move Action *** Personal

Effect: You shift up to 2 squares. Once at the end of this turn, you can shift 2 squares as a free action.

Is this legit?

Agreed. The rogue's tricks do not have a level, therefore they cannot be of a level lesser than or equal to 2. Nor can you swap a stance for a trick, because you cannot have any power with a level lesser than or equal to nullset.

This may change with the class compendium, however. My bet is that they'll have multiclass feats that allow you to take a stance or trick straight up, however you'll only get once use per encounter. (Same as how existing multi-class feats work)
