So I decided to build a game table

Well it came down to that we needed chairs in a hurry and when you have a two year old and a seven year old kids create time and money constraints, ie the upcoming trip to Disney and later trip to Michigan. Things like this make it necessary to save sometimes. Ps most of my players really get into character so their expressions are related to that (most have been playing since mid eighties and some in late eighties). And when you are trapped in a mountain with a hord of demons its not a cheery situation.

Woot for Disney!

And I have to say, it looks like your table serves your purpose well. Too, from the pictures, I don't think you will have to worry about it holding up over the years.

As an aside, did you allow for the legs to be easily detachable? I thought I saw a bolt or somesuch on one of the images. That alone would greatly help in mobility - aside from the raw weight of course.

Yeah the outside of the legs have brass inserts and bolts that screw into the inserts from the inside so the legs are easily detachable.
