So I'm backing a Kickstarter (for Torg Eternity) for the first time

Torg is one of those games that I always wanted to play back when it was new, but never ended up getting a chance to. I'm pretty excited to see a new edition (and that I can get the whole back catalogue in pdfs with the Kickstarter pledge).

Anyone have fond memories of playing Torg you'd like to share to get me even more excited for it?

I don't remember specific adventures (it was a long time ago). But I really liked the card deck the players could use. I remember one player getting Romantic as a card and connecting with an NPC that raised the stakes of saving the day. The shifting realities were exciting too. High octane adventure with big goals and big heroes.

It sounds like they've got three different types of cards in the new edition. I think the new one allows you to invoke cosm specific things, which can have both positive and negative effects, and from the example I saw I think apply to everyone in the scene equally. Like there was one in the Living Land that took away a defensive action from everyone (I'm not sure I'm conveying that correctly, as I haven't seen the full rules yet), but made aggressive attacks do more damage.

I don't get to use them often, but I like physical props in gaming.

I'm absurdly excited about the new Torg edition. I ran three campaigns back in the early 90s, and then managed something like three sessions over the next 25 years. I've got a game going again now - we're six weeks in and going strong.

I always loved the crazy clashing realities of the game. My first game featured a Victorian vampire hunter, a cybernetic werewolf, a ninja, and an Egyptian high priest, marauding about the globe. There's one published adventure that features a nuclear missile that has been transformed by the fantasy reality into this weird nuclear golem. Naturally, the PCs have to fight him, although there is the chance that they can restore his original function, in which case the golem departs and starts walking towards Leningrad... :D
