So a few days ago, Morrus provided us with news about the unconfirmed rumor that WotC was going to stop printing the 4E Core Rulebooks in favor of the Essentials "Red Box." E.g. that mainstream 4E was going to be slowly phased out in favor of Essentials 4E.
Have we heard anything about this at all since then? I was surprised to find that there's been no discussion on the subject that I've seen...is EN World just discounting this rumor en masse until something more substantive comes along?
For what it's worth, I saw one post elsewhere on the internet saying that this rumor was a half-truth; that there's no planned reprint for the 4E Core Rulebooks because the current print run is still so plentiful that there won't be a need for a reprint in the foreseeable future.
