So, it's a Long Shot...

Okay, I'm not entirely sure that this is the right forum, or indeed if I have a hope of finding what I'm looking for, in truth.

But anyway, here goes; about a year ago I played a oneshot adventure with my then-gaming group. Unfortunately we've all fallen out of contact, and I can't for the life of me remember what the name of the adventure was. The characters were premade, and they each had a particular goal that they weren't allowed to share with the other players. Essentially the group worked together for most of the game then fell apart as we started stabbing each other in the back at the end. So, all I know about the game is; premade characters with opposing goals, the adventure was set in a snowy area, the big bad was a witch of some shape or form (maybe?), and that it was likely a DM rewards, encounters, or game day adventure.

So, although this is very likely to go unanswered, can anyone give me a hand?

Sadly I can't be of any help, but I wanted to throw a most in, in case someone else remembers the adventure name. It sounds very exciting, and I'd love to try it with my group. Oh, and based on my limited experience with pre-mades, that sounds like a free RPG day or game day adventure to me.

Also, welcome to Enworld! Hope someone here can help you find that adventure again.

I think you were probably playing Siege of Gardmore Abbey, which was released at PAX Prime in August 2011.

I'm basing this largely on this description:

Wizards of the Coast said:
To this end I did my best to hardwire roleplaying opportunities into the game by giving each pregenerated character a want or goal to accomplish within the adventure. Some of these goals are more external and easier to accomplish. Some are internal or require something from another adventurer, and these can be more difficult to fulfill depending on the other players in the group and how cooperatively the participants play with one another. The wants and goals give each player a game of his or her own to play, layered on top of the D&D adventure they're experiencing.

Aaaah thanks, I'll give that a look because that sounds like fun, but someone over at Enemy of Fun has solved my problem for me; it's Kalarel's Revenge.

The only problem now is appealing to the writer for a copy.

And thank you in return for pointing out an adventure I didn't have listed in the 4e Collector's Guide. Kalarel's Revenge added!

I do hope that whatever plans WotC has for supporting all editions of D&D in the future, they include making electronic versions of the 4e Encounters/Lair Assault releases and their 4e tournament adventures available. They are hiding some good 4e material from their fans.
