Isn't it? Just have a group wander through there and *blam* adventure.

Well, hair parasite is one thing but yeah... maybe there *are* long term consequence. I wonder what though....

Too lazy to google it but I recall recommendations to spread human hair or fleece from sheep around gardens to prevent slugs from eating your plants. Apparently is dries out the mucous and irritates them, causing them to seek easier food sources. Perhaps the hair pieces dries them out, causing death to particularly narcissistic slug folk.

So, are you SURE that this item is less powerful then a stone wand that creates earthquakes? :)

That's more of a short term effect though - like the skin would become irritated fairly quickly, and it would kill the business. I'm more wondering about long term effects...

Nope

I just did a calculation and the amount of GP this will make is pretty significant. Even with the shopkeep getting 40% of profits, AND the assassin's shop (they are just next door!) getting a 10% cut (they already provide security for the market, this is a "courtesy" payment really), AND one NPC getting a share, it still amounts to about 250 gp/PC/month.

Keep in mind though, if you want to live the "noble" lifestyle it's 10 gp/DAY, so I guess it depends how much style they want?

The PCs would definitely fight tooth and nail for this venture now...

Lice.

Angry hive-mind vampire head lice.

All this caring and hair sharing is just itching for plague of scalp chompers.

Of course, they can be stopped - through a lengthy ritual accumulating in the destruction of the item.

Now my head feels itchy..

Hair?

Long beautiful hair?

Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen?

Give me down to there hair, shoulder length or longer
Here, baby, there, momma, everywhere, daddy, daddy
HAAAIIIIIIRRRRRRRR?

Seems derailing, yes.
I missed the "to", the first time. That was an extremely unpleasant image of a slugman. Also, a somewhat different sort of game.

Need to go bleach my brain.
