So what 3E adventures were worst?

I really liked the whole adventure path that WotC put out. My group enjoyed all of them, and we had no issues with Standing Stone, Deep Horizon or Bastion of Broken Souls.

But the real stinkers IMO, were Banewarrens and Vampires Blade (Eberron module). Banewarrens was just dull and uninteresting, and Vampires Blade was a true railroad module with no room for the players.

So, ummm...I'm in a RttToEE game now. It's in the .sig, as you might have noticed. It's kind of a string of fight scenes and D&D jokes, but we've been having fun with it. Our last encounter involved
invisible dinosaurs
; are we into the drudgery and boredom part or is it still to come?

Standing Stone, Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil, Deep Horizons

Agreed. I bought all of the original WOTC 3E modules, and the only two I really liked were the first two. Deep Horizon and Standing Stone were the two worst stinkers.

I have a review of RTTTOEE up, anyone can see can see my opinion of that there

The Necro RJK modules were pretty lackluster.

I never much cared for Freeport either, though it wasnt a bad module, just not to my tastes.

I didn't care for Necro's What Evil Lurks either. That whole "drill" thing just rubbed me the wrong way.

WEL is actually one of my favourite modules for 3rd ed. It was one of the last before they seemed to lose the 1st ed feel.

I do agree about the RJK modules though. I bought them recently for £1 each in a sale. I hope to be able to strip bits for use elsewhere.

Shadows of the Last War was a total dud in my experience (as a player in that one, not DM.)

Apparently I have repressed my memories of Shadows of the Last War.

The horror. The horror.

Whisper of the Vampire's Blade, hands down. It's the same encounter repeated ad nauseum. The PC's fight the villain on a moving vehicle until the villain escapes, wash, rinse, repeat. The scenery changes but it's the SAME encounter.

My nickname for the adventure is Plains, Trains, and Automobiles.

My second pick would be Speaker in Dreams. It seemed as if half the adventure was missing. I kept waiting for a web enhancement with the rest of it.

Third pick goes to Deep Horizon. Bat Ogres playing Batman and riding giant Bats. Me thinks the author was quite batty.

Actually of the original 3.0 WotC adventures if it wasn't written by Bruce Cordell it was generally poor to terrible. Especially when you compare it to adventures coming from Necromancer and Fiery Dragon at the time.
