with regards to my non-posting
I don't like to post until I've read the entire thread so that I know I'm actually contributing something new. If it's already been said, then I don't need to say it. And since I mostly do this at work, when I don't have a lot of time to begin with, I end up reading lots more than posting.

Sigh. I did (and do) lurk far too much. I feel like I want to have something good to contribute when I do (unlike this post) and often end up feeling I don't have the time to do it up right. I'd like to think there are those who lurk for good and those who lurk for evil.

I would like to proclaim myself a lurker for good. Err, that is, a lurker who IS good, rather than lurking for the rest... oh never mind.

long ramblings, then a new question: What is a postaholic?
Understandable. Quite.
The way I start most of my threads, I spend four hours making a copy in AppleWorks, copy and paste into the thread, then spend three hours redoing the tables becasue the messageboards screw them up unbelievably badly.
Some of my stuff gets a huge response. Like Parry: The art of Defense. Some gets almost non, like Hong Kong Actioin Roleplaying. 3 threads on that topic have been active for more than a day, with a grand total of like 4 responses from people other than me.
One way to make sure you don't lurk is to me arrogant. What? Yes, to be arrogant. If you think that all your ideas are better than everyone elses, you just can't resist pressing your ideas upon the masses with a hot brand in as many areas as possible.
maybe there should be a lurker forum? for lurkers to discuss lurking tactics, the arts of lurking, and weather it would be more advantageous to be a lurker or postaholic? WOuld be kinda self-defeating though . . .
