So whatever happened to the Book of Erotic Fantasy/Valar Project?

Play it...I have two copies!!! :D

Actually while I never have used any of it it is an odd mix of some way over the top things that I would never dream of using...but also some very insightful looks on the subject matter that would make a good addition to a game that involves them.

It's been one of the top sellers at FRPGames.com since it came out. So I have to think a lot of people have it. I'm surprised there hasn't been a follow-up.

Same here. My second copy being the preview booklet that was sold at GenCon last year, a few months prior to the actual book's release. Given the limited print run of the preview booklet, that it was d20 and the BoEF itself was made to be OGL, and that it's autographed, I'm looking forward to it becoming quite a collector's item.

So whatever happened to the BoeF? Did anyone actually play it?

What? You don't remember the mass riots in the streets, the reformation of M.A.D.D., the public book burnings and persecution of role-players, the conressional hearings into the evil influence of D&D on our children, and the end of our hobby as we know it, all as so many people predicted?!

Oh, yeah, wait, none of that happened... ;)

On a serious note, got a copy, use it quite frequently. It has some very useful and thoughtful stuff in there, nothing like the "giggle giggle elf porn giggle giggle" that I feared might be in it or the over the top for publicity advertising.

There's actually some good and useful stuff in there. Most campaigns won't be able to use the more sexually-themed stuff, but there's more to the book than just sex. It has spells like "Analyze Ancestry," which provides geneological information back 10 generations, and "Lifebond," which allows you to constantly know the location and condition of the one you love. Of course, it also has spells like "Grope" and "Disrobe," but for every bland or tasteless spell/feat/class/item there's a well thought-out and interesting spell/feat/class/item.
