Don't own it, but I have friends that do. I don't mind it, especially the pictures, since they're showing girls I know that I've wanted to see nekkid for years.
Exactly what a lot of folk predicted (I wasn't foresighted enough to be one of them, but hey.) The book caused tons of furor pre-release, actually came out kinda quietly, and then was promptly dropped as a hot topic.
last year Angelsboi was going to travel with me and biorph to Gen Con. he was too sick to make it. so he asked me to stop by and see his friend Anthony Valterra. and if i could find out what happened to him.
so i did. which is a story for another time.
while there i promised Anthony i would buy the hardback when it came out. i picked up the preview copy they had at the booth too.
i bought the BoEF when it was released.
Anthony is a great guy. but i'm not sure i'll ever use any of the book.
Nothing much happened to it.
It came out, sometimes its used, sometimes its not. Whenever someone has a question relating to those topics i usually refrence it.
Valar Project, after the BOEF, has moved into the printing industry. Helping d20 publishers find cheeper printing options to help cut costs. At Gencon SoCal I was helping Anthony Valterra find possible intrested parties by going to a few booths and testing their intrest, then getting them together with Anthony for the real info.
Currently, to the best of my knowledge, Valar Project has no d20 projects on the table. However I cannot speak for them. Dont hesitate to email Valar Project or anthony to inquire whats going on. Valterra@valarproject.com is one of the contact emails if memory serves.
Well, not a full campaign setting, no. But some adventures requiring spells, skills and feat from the Book of Elf Fannies... er... the Book of Erotic Fantasy to deal with and defeat creatures from the book would have been useful.
Pity it has not happened.
But as BrooklyKnight said, they are moving on to low cost publishing.
