Do yourself a favor and buy Midnight. You'll thank me for it.

Trust me, it won the award for best campaign setting for a reason. ;)

Don't know what you already have, but I wouldn't be a'hankering to pick up any of those books just because you had some money to burn.

On the other hand, I'd pick up The Monsternomicon, Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed, or Midnight just because. I'll probably also pick up Skull and Bones when I see it for the same reason.

Ok, so it's not just historical then, it's historical fantasy? Now that makes a lot more sense. When you say roleplaying in the Biblical Era, I think purely historical...
think of it more along the lines of "roleplaying in the Biblical Era as it is presented in the Bible."

whether you believe that is strictly historical, strictly fantasy, or somewhere in between.

I'll make sure to include it the next time I'm stuck and post a poll about what I should buy. ;)

So what's Midnight about?

Well, I've got a large collection of Forgotten Realms books, as well as Ravenloft books, hence 3 of the 5 books there being from either of those two settings. Testament and Dragonlance look pretty good to me, as well, so there they are.

As for the books you list, while I've honestly heard very little of AU, I'm really not all that enthused by what I've heard. Not that I think it's crap or anything. Just doesn't really interest me. Don't know anything about the Monsternomicon or Midnight, though. Guess I better check them out. Especially Midnight.
