So which drow book to get?

I'll pitch in for Plot & Poison. I bought it as I had started up a campaign where drow would be the penultimate bad guys (go figure!)

Why only penultimate? Who are the "ultimate bad guys?"

(FYI, penultimate means "second best." ;) )

As if there was ever a doubt…
It’s got to be Bugbears. ;)

:D

I would go with Plot and Poison, though at the moment I do not have it. It is on my to buy list but I’m not running any Drow encounters or do I have plans to run a Drow PC so I have other things I need above it right now.

Ah, you caught that!

To keep a campaign going, I usually leave room for just one more bigger, badder, stronger, villain (or villains) in my back pocket. Besides, Drow are so chaotic, somebody might be pulling their strings in the background.

Just when the players thought they'd beaten the bad guys...

Mwaha. Mwahahaha. Mwahahahahaha!....

Ahem. Bugbears, yes. But you know my fave monster? (Don't laugh.) Gnolls. Gnolls with a Flind. Gnolls, a Flind, and tanglefoot bags. Gnolls, a Flind....oh, you get the idea.

Ok :)
..it just couldn't compare with 2e's Menzobarranzen boxed set in my regard. i may yet buy it on ebay if its pricetag isn't so steep in an auction.

Actually, I think I may have a copy of this in my loft. I doubt its complete, but you're welcome to it if you can cover my postage costs.

Cheerio,

Ben
