As for me I'd kinda like to play a nymph

One PC in my campaign is a "fiendish fey", offspring of a half-fiend and nymph, her half-brother is the offspring of a half-fiend and nixie.

I'd play a symbiotic character...Or maybe a gargoyle:

I have been toying with a few symbiotic team concepts as well, including an awakened strangle weed and sea sprite, an intelligent anemone (anemoid, in my game) and sea elf, and perhaps a kelpie combined with a half-elemental. As for gargoyles, how about a kopoacinth bonded to coral? I have liverock gargoyles, in my game.

I have been mulling over the gelatinous template, deciding if it could be used underwater. After all, only a few oozes have been mentioned for use in aquatic settings. I may use the gelatinous template for my jellyfolk, though; envision a race of merfolk whose lower torsos resemble jellyfish.

...Or a nixie...
